We docked in Laem Chabang at noon and took a coach to Pattaya, a beach community of 100,000 in Thailand. Visited the
Sanctuary of Truth, a large wooden structure that features fine carvings illustrating ancient philosophies. Construction began in the 1980s and isn't expected to be finished until 2050, it is a beautiful work in progress. Had to wear hard hats when touring the building. Artisans are on site carving new decorations for the structure from teak wood. Amazing detail!
Went to the top of the hill in Pattaya to view the city and see a Buddhist temple. Very crowded with tour buses, but an interesting place.
After returning to the ship, we were treated to a destination show by Thai musicians and dancers.
